Position: Weighmaster

Job Description

The function of this position is to successfully perform the day-to-day terminal operations while maintaining a Safety and Customer Focus. 

Pay Type: Salary, non-exempt

Reports to: Terminal Manager

Summary: Must have demonstrated the skills necessary to proficiently perform all requirements of the Terminal Operator II & I roles.

Responsibilities

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to all safety policies, rules and regulations (Titan & OSHA)
  • Participates in required safety trainings and meetings
  • Operate the aggregate and cement scales both In-bound and Out-bound
  • Submits daily rail orders to source plant
  • Completes all end of the day reports and close-outs
  • Maintain scale certification and/or alert manager when scale certification is due
  • Monthly aggregate and/or cement inventory and reporting
  • Monthly fuel inventory reporting
  • May assist with purchase order requisitions
  • Use company programs (SAP/JWS) daily
  • Coordinate with rail companies on rail car movements (spotting cars and releasing cars)  
  • May participate in safety incident investigations (RCA)
  • Ensure that customer order processing for cement and aggregate truck loading is performed accurately
  • Interacts with customers, vendors, and drivers with professionalism. Communicates safety requirements
  • Assist with railcar unloading as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills:  

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Physically fit to handle lifting at least 50lbs
  • High degree of professionalism
  • High degree of accuracy in a fast paced and multi-task environment
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English, Spanish is a plus
  • Work overtime and weekends when necessary
  • Ability to learn and perform all other operational positions within the terminal
  • Ability to obtain aggregate sampler certificate within 90 days of hire

 

            Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years aggregate and cement experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office applications knowledge, SAP, JWS experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to assist maintenance technicians or manager with equipment repairs
  • Physical job requirements may include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Prior JWS and SAP system experience a plus
  • Background in aggregate QC a plus
