Titan Florida is looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our maintenance team at our Melbourne Terminal. This hourly position reports directly to the Terminal Manager. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner. The primary purpose of this position is to participate as a technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair the Terminal.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

· Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to Titan and OSHA safety policies rules and regulations.

· Participates in and/or leads required safety trainings and meetings.

· Communicates well with all terminal personnel; be a team player.

· Performs all required safety checks before performing any maintenance work.

· Performs and documents visual inspection routes for deficiencies while plant is running.

· Performs all work in a manner to maximize safety, efficiency, and quality.

· Lead coworkers or contractors in complex repairs to the plant and other systems on site.

· Perform preventative maintenance work on fixed and mobile equipment.

· Leads troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment issues.

· Identifies and effectively communicates repair strategies with manager.

· Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) regarding equipment, processes, and incidents.

· Develops and maintains records of work performed, to assist in tracking equipment history.

· Operates hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulations.

· Assists with truck and railcar loading and unloading as necessary.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Must have demonstrated the skills necessary to proficiently perform all requirements of the Terminal Maintenance Technician II role.

· High School Diploma or GED and on-the-job training.

· Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

· 3 years of experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in a plant or industrial environment. (Certification in industrial maintenance a plus.)

· Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and torching equipment.

· Advanced welding and torching experience; ability to improve equipment designs when necessary.

· Knowledge of Intermediate Microsoft Office applications. (CMMS experience preferred.)

· Knowledge of hardware sizes, general mechanics, hand tools, power tools, and repair practices.

· Have in-depth knowledge or training of compressors, blowers, conveyors, belts, bearings, screws, and other cement and aggregate processing equipment.

· Knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.

· Thorough understanding of occupational hazards, OSHA regulations, and of related safety practices.

· Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose equipment issues.

· Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

· Ability to task train other personnel and lead repair jobs.

 

Physical Requirements:

· Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and ability to lift to 50lbs.

· Must be able to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
